Wanting More

A poem by Chris Hibbard
for Mary Jane
September 26 2015

Wanting More

She walks but leaves no footprints
She flies but has no wings
She smiles when she sleeps

And when she leaves she leaves me wanting
Oh she leaves me wanting more

She sings when she is speaking
She dances when it rains
She smiles when she sleeps

And when she leaves she leaves me wanting
Oh she leaves me wanting more

She stirs while others slumber
She lives like no one’s watching
She smiles when she sleeps

And when she leaves she leaves me wanting
Oh she leaves me wanting more
