You’re Never Alone

A poem

For Mary Jane

You're Never Alone

There are times when you’ll be feeling down
lost and angry
sad and frightened
strangled by life and all of its worries
but I want you to know
that you’re never alone

There are times when you’ll be on your knees
tears on cheeks
and hands in prayer
haunted by life and all of its memories
but I want you to know
that you’re never alone

There are times when you’ll be feeling weak
broken and bothered
bewildered and blue
pained by life and all of its challenges
but I want you to know
that you’re never alone

  1. lovely poem! Many people are by your side as things are great. But the moment that you hit rock bottom, they are no where to be found. Its nice to see someone point out how they will be around through it all.

  2. Thanks NosyJosie. A friend of mine is going through a rough patch, emotionally and mentally. This poem was meant to make her feel a bit better. Appreciate the comment.

  3. Sometimes I’ve been alone too long. Goin a little stir crazy, gettin cabin fever. If your best friend just so happens to be your lover – that’s worth holding on to.

  4. Heck yes! I agree. It takes a bit more effort but has a lot more worth.
