Shackled
A poem
by Marina Ragan

Memory serves to protect
Promote
Memory serves to correct
Denote
It’s grip can keep you
In an endless
Negative program
Until
It is set on fire
Cleansed
In the flames
Out of the ashes
And into the light
You are now free
To make your own
Memory
